Surrender

Surrender
Last night I had dreams of Trinidad warm breeze
Fresh off a plane with unpacked suitcases
Seeing my grandfather smile, hammocks and banisters
Flashes of my life fast forwarded reappeared to me-
with stills of certain moments
Now I'm at a place I haven't been before
I don't think I will stay here very long
Blend of  burnt orange red fall leaves on the pavement
Vibrant colors distract me
Tickle my feet, I'm actually sitting in a massage chair at a nail salon
Bootleg clear version of eat, pray and love play on the toshiba flat screen
Loud Buses pass on Flatbush avenue as I look at the sun reflecting off its  windows
I have enough knowledge to know where I'm going
Blessed
Today I surrendered and decided to BE.

XXL presents Kanye West

Have you all read the October 2010 issue of XXL?  Kanye once again sparks me up. I guess it’s his "genius moments' and that fact that his impatient tendencies as a person categorizes him as an asshole and reminds me of myself. The editor of the special collectors issue allows Yeezy to write his on article. #whoa , it ‘s a 40 pages spread!

If you are a music head like me his  monster roster call for his label G.O.O.D music (an acronym for Getting. Out .Our. Dreams) is uber fly. Players of his label include  Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Common, Cyhi the Prynce, John Legend, Big Sean, MOS DEF, (yes I capitalized that on purpose , he is a genius artist overall including his theatrics !) and Mr. Hudson.

Kan Yeezy says “I kind of got that idea from the movie Rosewood-the affluent businessman. That’s what it is right now. We want to be affluent business man. And everything that I want to represent; taste, culture. We want to be tasteful. We want to be dope”. And in deed we do!

Photos remind me on the Rat Pack and Janelle Monae- the uniform wearing always ready for business.

I had no idea Kanye fled to Japan for 3 weeks after his VMA Taylor Swift opps . And actually interned at fendi for the rest of the year in Rome. Once again reminding me (us) that its never to late to intern.

"Entertainment is 1 percent what you create and 99 percent of how it is received"
His learned sum  was that “Timing is everything; Good timing is a sign of good taste- reminds me of when Tony Curtis said "I owe my longevity to my good timing"

Yeezy gets deep , I felt like I was reading an excerpt from the
Eckhart Tolle ‘Power of Now’. He says : “A lot of the time, my ego is the armor, but the key is to make the armor a little less heavy. What if the ego is the armor and you’re riding on a horse, crusading, taking over villages? You’re not going to be able to ride as far if the armor is weighing you down-" basically saying the ego pushes him back 20%

God had a good portion of his article which it should-, going to detail how he always prayed that that God deliver him from all pain. Yeezy says his prayers were answered when 3 of his parents including his mother passed- no pain could ever compare.

It's a good read-Read the article let me know what you think~

Welcome, come over

Welcome to my world of plural epiphanies, ever so often my daily interaction brings new awareness!
What better way to express myself? Using this blog as a digital footprint of cohesive thoughts of consciousness -- what I have seen and what I take away from some of my experiences/interactions. Life!

It's important to share that content, like show and tell in grade school; it’s quite fun!

I been all around the world from Australia, to England, to California, from Trinidad and Tobago and presently and for a majority of my time growing in the concrete jungle of New York City, home based in Brooklyn.

Old saying says it’s not where you’ve been but where you're going- it’s a sum all of things at the end of the day so I won’t time line my past.

Hope you all enjoy my words play and my commentary on hip-hop, pop culture, politics, philosophy, real estate, art and destiny!
